Why does The Tooth Fairy collect the baby teeth?

In the Magical Land from where The Tooth Fairy comes, the baby teeth shine like stars, because they are full of childhood’s magic, especially if they are well taken care of and clean. It is one of the reasons why the fairy insists on a good oral hygiene. The fairies (for there are many, led by their queen) use the children’s teeth to illuminate their land. Also, it is believed that the baby teeth bring good luck.

What does The Tooth Fairy look like?

In many cultures the fairy is a little mouse, in others she’s a magpie. Although nobody has seen her, we can imagine she can shapeshift as she likes, as if by magic.  As any fairy she has wings, for faster transportation between realms, in flight. And so that she’s not heard when she enters the child’s room.

The Tooth Fairy has helped many generations of children to learn the rules of good oral hygiene and get rid of the fear of going to the dentist. She always makes the baby teeth losing time a magical one.
